is questions used. Motion was made and seconded to evaluate the
polygraph tests and use in scoring in the final scare. Motion
carried. The chief examiner will assign numbers to the polygraph
results with no names being used. The commission will then
rate by number only on a pass/fail basis only.
A motion was made and seconded to set the weights for the exam
as follows:
Resume evaluation 25%
Written exam 25%
Oral Interview 50%
Motion carried.
It was decided that in preparation for the next meeting: Mr.
Cunningham and the secretary will prepare a form to be used to
summarize the information from each resume to be completed by
the secretary and used by the commission in their screening
and evaluations; Mr. Yahn and Chief McQuery will develop recom-
mendations for the oral interview; Mr. Cline will refine a resume
scoring form; and Chief Foster and Chief McQuery will work on
possible assessment laboratory ideas that might be used.
The next meeting will be on Wed. April 21, 1976, at 3:30 P.M. in
the conference room in Station #1.

VSummary of Police Chief Examination procedure:
• Resumes of qualified applicants received no later that April
30, 1976, will be screened and evaluated by the Commission.
Ten finalists will be selected.
Examination of the ten finalists and their ranking will be as
follows:
Resume evaluation 25%
Written test 25%
Oral Interview 50%
Polygraph test will be given to top 3 finalists on a
pass/fail basis before eligibility list is certified.
