The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on
March 18, 1976. Present were Hal Cline, Ken Yahn, Norwood
Cunningham, Chief McQuery, Officer Haysom and Capt. Fronsdahl.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
A letter was read from Chief McQuery reporting that Officer
Haysom returned from his leave of absence on Fev. 17, 1976.
A letter was read from Chief McQuery reporting that Officer
Michael Jennings received disciplinary action.
A letter was read from-Chief McQuery advising the commission that
he will resign as chief of police effective July 31, 1976.
There was a discussion of the selection procedures for the
position of chief of police. The secretary and chief examiner
was directed to contact the Association of Chiefs of Police
for copies of written tests, if available and with other
cities for information as to their selection procedures.
A tentative workshop meeting was set for April 1, from
3:30 to 6 P.M. in the New York Life conference room.
