The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission was
held on Dec . 11 , 1974. Present were Don-Bell , Warren Bell ,
Chief McQuery and Chief Poster. Kenneth Yahn was present
for a short time.
The minutes of the October 30 and November 13, 1974 meetings
were approved.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the Eligibility
List for Jailor as presented by the Chief Examiner.

Motion carried.
A letter was read from Firefighter John Evans requesting
the commission to consider volunteer time with King County
Fire District 44 be applied against 1st class Firefighter
time in grade as per the current Civil Service Regulations.
A motion was made and seconded to approve Firefighter Evans
request. Motion carried.
Chief McQuery presented copies of his proposed changes in
the qualifications for Police Clerk ranks. After discussion,
a motion was made and seconded to approve the changes as
presented. Motion carried.
The commission requested help for the secretary with the
typing of the proposed Rules and Regulations. Chief McQuery
stated that he would find someone to help.
Donald Bell has submitted his resignation from the commission,
effective Dec. 31 , 1974. It has been accepted by the Mayor
with regret . The appointment of a new member will be made
by the Mayor. The election of a new Chairman will be held
at the next meeting.
A tentative meeting date of Jan. 22, 1975 was set to allow
for the typing of the proposed Rules and Regulations.
Meeting adjourned.
