The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission was
held on Nov. 13, 1974. Present were Warren Bell , Hal Cline,
Chief McQuery and Chief Foster.
The minutes of the previous meeting were deferred until
the next meeting.
The secretary was asked to check the letter from the City
Attorney concerning the Police Clerks under Civil Service.
A letter from Chief McQuery was read asking that a section
on part time clerks be included in thennew Rules and
Regulations. After much discussion it was decided not to
include the part time positions.
Rule XVI on page 18 was discussed again and Section 2. was
rewritten. Rule IX on page 9 was discussed and Section 2
on qualifying grade was rewritten. The commission decided
to include all examination methods under a new section 1
in Rule X on page 10. The secretary will type new sections
for distribution before the next meeting.
The next meeting will be on Dec. 11 at 7 P.M. at the
Fire Station.
