A special meeting of the Civil Service Commission was called
by the secretary and chief examiner. Present were Warren
Bell and Hal Cline.
The purpose of the meeting was to consider a request from
Fire Chief Foster to amend Rule VI, Section 3, Qualifications
for Firefighter. He is asking that the sentence , No person
will be admitted to emamination for the position of chief
of assistant chief of the fire department who is less than
30 years of age, be deleted. He had planned to ask that
that sentence be deleted in the revisions and neglected to
give the information to the secretary. He feels that the
changes made in the qualifications for the positions cover
the situation.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the proposed
deletions . Motion carried.
