The regulat meeting of the Kent Civil Service Commission
was held on Feb. 27. Present were Don Bell , Warren Bell ,
Hal Cline, Chief McQueery and Chief Foster.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Discussion was held on amending Rules VIII and IX. The
chiefs will confer before the March meeting.
The chief examiner reported the following : Mike Jennings
reported back to work an Jan 1 as per commission action,
Dorothy Dorman started as a Police Clerk on Feb. 1 , The
clerks eligibility list is now canceled, Police "A" & "B"
exams and Fire 1st Class exams were held on Feb. 22. ,
Teresa Fisher resigned as probationary patrolperson,
the extention of the Firefighter list died on Jan 24,
Asst. Chief Randall is on disability.

The patrolmmn entranceeexam is scheduled on April 8, 1974.
Applications will close on March 26. A motion was made
and seconded to approve the croring weights as follows :
Written 400, Oral Interview, 45% and Education 15,%. Motion
carried.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the qualigications
for this exam as follows : Age, 21 - 32 years at time of
closing date of applications. Height , 5' 8" for males
and 5f4" for females. Motion carried.
Proposed examinations for the fire department are Asst
Chief , and Lieutenant in July and entrance firefighter in
June.
A motion was made and seconded to change the meeting time
to the 4th Thurs of the month at 8 A .M. in the main
fire station. Motion carried.
