The regular meeting of the Police Civil Service Commission was held on
Sept. 20. Present were Don Bell, John MacGregor and Chief McQuery.
the minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
The Chief Examiner reported that Officer Byerly completed his"A" exam
and Officer Haysom completed his "B" exam. Officer Goodchild was out
of town and did not take the "B" exam.
A motion was made and seconded to set the requirements for Policewoman
the same as Patrolman except that the minimum height will be 514" and the
minimum weight will be 102 lbs. Motion carried.
The examination for patrolman and policewoman will be held on Nov. 1 and
Nov. 2, if necessary,because of the number of applicants.
Since it is difficult to get copies of the LEFF requirements, it was
decided that an applicant will be able to borrow one upon the payment
of a deposit of $5.00. The deposit will be returned when the booklet
is returned in good condition.

The regular meeting of the Fire Civil Service Commission was held on
Sept. 20. Present were Don Bell, John MacGregor, Chief Foster and
Asst Chief Randall.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Firefighters Chris McKay and Glenn Webster are on disability retirement
now and are expected to retire perman&ntly.
A motion was made and seconded not to renew the Firefighter Eligibility
List. Motion carried.
The commission will set the date for a entrance exam for firefighter at
the October meeting.
The Chief Examiner reported that Firefighters LaBore and Burke success—
fully passed the 2nd class exam.
