The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission for Fire District 37
was held on Jan. 7, 1969. Present were John Fournier, Jr., Chairman;
Theodore Forrester, Allen Anderson amd Chief Freelove.
Phyllis Mauritsen has received a probationary appointment as Secretary
and Chief Examiner, effective Jan. 1, 1969.
It was moved and seconded to adopt the Rules and Regulations as revided.
Motion carried. Copies will be available to the District as soon as
possible.
Written examinations for Deputy Chief and 1 Firefighter 3rd Class will
be held on Jan. 25, 1969.
It was moved and seconded to require 2 years experience as a volunteer
Captain in the Fire District to be eligible to apply for Deputy Chief.
Motion carried.
It was moved and seconded to lower the height minimum for Firefighter
3rd to 5 feet 5 .inchds for this examination only. Motion carried.
Fingerprints will be required of all applicants who receive a passing
grade on an examination.
Chief Freelove will check with Dr. Rowbottom on the required medical
examinations.
The secretary was authorized to purchase a minute book and submit
the bill.
The next meeting will be on Jan. 29, 1969, at 7:30 P. M.
