The meeting of the Police Civil Service Commission was
held on Dee . 14, 1967. Present were Don Bell, Jr. ,
John MacGregor, Chief McQuery and Chief Foster.
Minutes of the last meeting were approved.
Motion was made and seconded to amend Rule VII, Section
1 to read: "Announcement of Vacancy" : Whenever there
is need, the secretary and chief examiner shall make
public notice inviting qualified persons to apply for
employment in the classified service and for admission
to the examination scheduled to select the most compe-
tent. Public announcement of the examination shall
specify the title and salary range of the position,
a brie$ outline of the requirements of the position,
the minimum qualifications required, and the final date
upon which applications will be received. Persons
desiring to compete for positions in the classified
service shall file applications with the secretary and
chief examiner on forms supplied by the civil service
commission.
Motion carried.
Sgt . H. R. Foxley will be certified as a Lieutenant
effective on Jan.l, 1967.
Mrs. Patricia Porter received a passing score on the
Clerk examination and will be hired Jan. 1.
Alexander Smith received a passing score on the
examination for Patrolman "C" and will start Jan. 1.
He and Larry Jilbert will take the physical agility
tests the next time they are given.
Patrolmen Bean and Hammer successfully completed the
examination for "B" Grade Patrolman.

the Secretary.

The meeting bf the fire Civil Service Commission was
held on Dec. 14, 1967. Present were Don Bell, Jr. ,
John MacGregor, Chief Foster and Chief McQuery.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Firemen Berg, See and Storment successfully completed
the examination for lst Class Firefighter.
The Eligibility List for Fire Lieutenant is as follows:
Donald Bridge
Albert Sells
John Henkel
Glenn Webster
James Smail did not take the examination.
The Eligibility List for Firefighter 3rd Class is as
follows:
