The regular meeting of the Kent Police Civil Service
Commission was held on April 6, 1966. Present were
Don Bell, Jr. , John MacGregor , Chief Poster and Chief
Lee.
The i0inutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Motion was made and seconded to adopt the Rules .and
Regulations as revised and amended. h;otion carried.
The Secretary and Chief Examiner was instructed to
prepare and conduct an examination for the position
of Chief of Police. under the adopted Rules and
Regulations , Lt. NcQuery is the only member of the
department eligible to take the examination. The
examination is to include written, oral and service
record. The Commission will require a complete
medical examination, also. The written examination
to be held on May 9 , 1966.
The Secretary is to write to the Public Personnel
Association and the International Association of
Chiefs of Police for information available concerning
examinations for the position.
Meeting adjourned.
