The regular meeting of the Police Civil Service Commission
was held on May 5, 1965. Present were Don Bell , Jr. ,
Harold Goedecke, John MacGregor, and Chief Lee.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Chief Lee presented his report on the revised firearms
training program and the current results. He also
discussed the Police driver training program.
Patrolman Bean has successfully completed his probation
and received his permanent certification.
Patrolman Spencer is eligible to take the "A" Grade
examination this month.
The next meeting will be postponed until June 231
unless it is necessary to meet earlier.

The regular meeting of the Fire Civil Service Commission
was held on May 5, 1965. Present were Don Bell, dr. ,
Harold Goedecke, MacGregor and Chief Bridges.

Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Motion was made and seconded to give the same written
examination to all applicants for fireman, with two
eligibility lists to be established by lst and 2nd
Class. Motion carried.
Motion was made and seconded to have the Oral Board for
Chief and Assistant Chief consist of Chief Bridges and
the Chiefs of two other departments, iQ possible, , and
the Board for Fireman to consist of Chief Bridges and
at least Captains of two other departments. Motion
carried.
The Secretary reported that there are 6 eligible
applicants for the position of Chief, 3 for the position
of Assistant Chief, and 26 for the position of Fireman.
Of the 260 17 are for lst Class and 9 for 2nd Class.
The next meeting will be postponed until dune 23, unless
it is necessary to meet earlier.
