The regular meeting of the Police Civil Service Commission
was held on April 13, 1965. Present were Sohn MacGregor,
Harold Goedecke, and Chief Lee.
Minutes of the last meeting were approved.
A letter was read from John Bereiter, City Attorney, don-
cerning the clerks employed in the Police Department. He
expresses the opinion that the clerks should be included
under Civil Service. In anticipation on an examination
for this position, the Commission decided to approve the
following proposed requirements :
Age: 30 to 0
Education: Graduate of an accredited high school.
Experience; 2 years of police general duty clerical experience.
Special knowledge, abilities , and skills : typing, general
secretarial, filing, statistical records, telephone answering, ,
radio, police public relations.
Height and Weight : Female- not less than 62 inches nor
more than 70 inches in height. ;elhght must be in proportion.
A decision will be jAade on the examination at a later date.
A motion was made and e%onded that the regular meeting be
changed to the J. , _ of the Month, at 1 P.M. in the
Commission office at 646 Van Devanter, TJotion carried.
