The regular meeting of the Police Civil Service Commission
was held on &larch 9, 1965 . Present were John IdacGregor and
Harold Goedecke.
Ioiinutes of the last meeting were approved.
A motion was made and seconded to amend Rule X, Section 2 to
read as follows : Effective Life of Lists : Eligible lists shall
become effective upon approval thereof by the secretaryand
chief examiners signature. to the effect that the list was
legally prepared and represents the relative rating of the
names appearing thereon. Eligible lists, including promotional
lists, shall remain in effect six months and may be extedded
be action of the civil service commission for as! long as is
deemed necessary. Names appearing on lists by reason of lay-off
shall remain effective for as long as is deemed necessary.
Commission action to extend these lists must be taken at
least every six month. Lotion carried.
ItItion was made and seconded to extend the life of the
eligibility lists for sergeant and lieutenant until Aug. 10,
1965. Motion carried.

The regular meeting of the Fire Civil Service Commission
was held on March 9, 1965. Present were John MacGregor and
Harold Goedecke.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
The only a plicant for the position of Secretary and Chief
Examiner * s Phyllis iviauritsen. The examination will be
held sometime after Iriarch 26.
The proposed amended rules were approved by unanimous vote.
The announcements for the r'ire Department positions were
approved.
Chief and Asst. Chief examinations will .be held on June 3.
Fireman examinations will be held on June 8.
Meeting adjourned.
