• The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission was
held on Oct . 13, 1964. Present were Don Bell, Jr. ,
John MacGregor, and Chief Lee.
Minutes of the last meeting were approved.
A letter of resignation was read from James B. Pettersen.
Roger Bean will receive a probationary appointment
effective Nov. 1, 1964.
A letter requesting a leave of absence was read from
William Peare. The request was granted.
The "A" Patrolman examination will be held after the
first of the year.
The Commission authorized the Secretary to schedule
a Patrolman' s Examination on Dec . 10, 1964.
The Secretary was instructed to write the Mayor asking
for written confirmation of the statement that the new
man for the Police Department is authorized for Jan 1,
1965.
The Secretary was instructed to write the next men on
® the current eligibility list asking if they are still
interested and would they accept an appIntment if it
was made.
The Commission voted to extend the current list until
the new list is completed and approved.
