The regular meeting of the Kent Civil Service Commission
was held on Aug. 11, 1964. Present were Don Bell, Jr. ,
_ Harold Goedecke, John MacGregor, Chief Lee , Mayor Thornton,
and Chief Bridges.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved., ;
The motion was made and seconded to make the Kent Police
Department Rules and Regulations a part of the official
record of the Commission and approve them as printed.
Motion carried.
The Secretary was instructed to send a suggested budget
to the City Clerk.
Police Commission $"100.00
Secretary salary 35.00 per mon. $425.00
Fire Commission $300.00
Secretary salary , 35.00 per mon. $425.00
It •c.�as decided to hold an examination for just experienced
fireman for next year. The volunteers will be used as the
officers for the first year.
The Secretary was instructed to obtain a copy of Auburn's
Rules and Regulations and to meet9-with the Fire Chief to
decide on applications to be used.
