In lieu of a regular meeting of the Civil Service
Commission, the Secretary was requested by the Chairman,
Don Bell, Jr. to poll the members of the Commission on
the Telep&one for them to vote on the following questions :
Should the Commission approve the Certification of
Permanent Appointment for Clifford Phillips, since he
was the high man on the Patrolman's examination held
on Jan. 16 and Jan. 31, 1963, and since he had already
served on the department for ten months on a temporary
appointment? Approved.
Should a conditional exception be granted to Rolf Hildre,
stating that we would waive the height and weight minimums
—' iri his case drily, providing -that his -medical exeminatiori,
and his references and past work record check out alright?
Approved.
Should the eligibility list for sergeant from the results
of the examination held in Nov. be certified by the
Commission? The List is as follows:
John Sheets 83.51
Gerald Brand 79.95
James Pettersen 73.12
