HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Civil Services Commission - 05/15/1956 Tuesday, May 15, 1956 The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held at the Johnson Furniture Company on Tuesday, May 15. Al Johnscnlon Bell, and R.L` ove were present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and corrected as follows: In regard to a criticism of Patrolman Rex Foxley by James Bruns, the Commission did not recommend disciplinary action or dismissal, but the matter was turned over to Chief Lee for his disposal. The Commission decided to hold an examination on June 12 . for Patrolmen. A motion was made by Don Bell that the age limit for P rolman who may take the examination be established at 35 rears of age.lThe motion carried. Dave McQuerry and Rex Foxlev were certified as Police Sergeants at a salary of $365.5o.— A motion was made that Chief Lee and Dave McQQierry be certified and that the certification be made retroactive to the date at which t6v were eligible. Motion carried.
