HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Civil Services Commission - 12/01/1948 December 1, 1948 The meeting was called to order by Mr. Kelleher. Mrs. Bovell and Mrs. Anderson were present. The reading of the previous minutes were read and approved. The motion was made that the cage of Gordon S. Van Brunt regarding his failure to supply the Civil Service Commission with proper proof of his experience record for which fifteen points were given on the competitive examination entitling him to rating on the eligibility list and certification be investigated and that action be taken on this matter:.at the next meeting. The subject of holding new examinations for police patrolmen was dcussed at length. It was finally decided that no examination would be held at this time, as there were no positions open and desirable applicants would not be drawn. There remain,# four names on the eligibility list as of this date, and a motion was made and carried that these names be sent in a list to Dave Mooney, Mayor. Chief of Police, Bob Lee, was invited to the meeting and asked if there was anything he wished to report or take up with the Civil Service Commission. Mr. Lee reported everything satisfactory and the department running smoothly. The meeting was adjourned until the next regular meeting. Respectfully submitted . Secretary Approved Chairman C.S.C.
