A special meeting of the Civil Service .Commission was .held. Chairman Jim Kelleher
. called the meeting to order at 7:30 ih the city fall. Present were Norman Anderson,
Mrs. Don Bovell and the chairman.
Names on the elgibility list for the City of Kent Police Department were reviewed
as they now stand and were found to be the following according to final earned rating
in the examination held March 24, 1948.

5 James F. Neeley 89.51 3
3 Gordon S. Van Brunt 85.67 4
2 John Morris 81.84 5
The above grade for John Morris is without veterans preference now being
considered by the Civil Service Commission.
7 Alven A. Anderson 79.05 6
1 Dominick Iacolucci 76.30 7
These were again verified that the list was legally prepared and representes the
relative rating of the names appearing thereon.
A MOTION WAS DULYYMADE, seconded and carried that this elgibility list shall remain
in effect for two years and may be extended by the Civil Service Commission if
they so see fit, providing this is not contrary to the State Legislative Status
controlling the Civil Service laws of the state of Washington. Names appearing on
the list by reasoh of lay off or resignation shall remain effective for five years.
These minutes as written have received the approval of the Civil Service Commission
and secretary and Chief Examiner and become the present legal elgibility list of
the City of Kent for position on the police department, by the affixing of our
signatures hereto.
Notification of this list is this day being sent Ooughi.the mails to Mayor Dave Mooney.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned until the next regular
meeting.
