HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Civil Services Commission - 05/12/1947 MAY 120 1947 g1he re¢ular May meeting of the Civil Service Commission was oalled to order by Chairman Curtis Farman at 9 :00 P.M. , at the City Hall. Commissioners present were: Farman, Edline Sells. Chairman Farman introduced Mr. Sampson, of the B reau of Public Administration. Mr. Sampson explained th7servises of the Bureau, and offered aid to the Commission in its formation. He discussed the office of Clerk and Chief Examiner, and made some suggestions in regard to the selection of a person for such office - qualification of the applic ant and the proper type of questions for qualification examinations. After a short discussion, Mr. Sampson agreed to set up a police examination program for the position of Patrolmen. The matter of salary for the Clerk and Chief Examiner was discussed, and referred to the Council for action. On motion, of Commissioner Sells, and seconded by Commissioner Edline, the General Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service ^ommission of the City of Kent, as attached to these Minutes, were adopted as of this date. .
