APRIL 25, 2001 MEETING MINUTES

Chair Zaratkiewicz called the meeting to order at 5:15 P.M.

1. Chair Zaratkiewicz moved to approve the minutes from the March 28, 2001
Civil Service Meeting. Seconded and carried

Chair Zaratkiewicz asked everyone present to review items 1 through 11.
1. Letters dated April 17, 2001 from Jed Aldridge notifying Justin G. Poe; Garret
; and Michael Mervos they did not successfully pass the psychological
exam for Police and Corrections and will no longer be considered for employment.
Z. Memo dated April 17, 2001 notifying Timothy Gillette he has been removed from
Eligibility List. He accepted employment elsewhere.
3. Memo dated March 30, 2001 notifying Chief Angelo that Firefighter Arthur
Weichbrodt has successfully passed his Second Class Promotion exams.
4. Memo dated March 30, 2001 notifying Chief Angelo that Firefighter John
•- Ahrens has successfully passed his Second Class Promotion exams.

5. Memo dated March 30, 2001 notifying Chief Angelo that Firefighter Walter
Bagnall has successfully passed his Second Class Promotion exams.
6. Memo dated March 30, 2001 notifying Chief Angelo that Firefighter Jimmy
Webb has successfully passed his Second Class Promotion exams.
7. Memo dated March 30, 2001 notifying Chief Angelo that Firefighter Roel Ramos
has successfully passed his Second Class Promotion exams.
8. Memo dated March 30, 2001 notifying Chief Angelo that Firefighter Felicia
Beluche has successfully passed 1,ftSecond Class Promotion exams.
9. Memo dated March 30, 2001 notifying Chief Angelo that Firefighter Ian Bird
has successfully passed his Second Class Promotion exams.
10. Letter dated March 15, 2001 notifying Officer Lillian Watson that she has
successfully completed the twelve month probationary period and has been
appointed to regular employment status as Police Officer.
11. Letter dated March 14, 2001 notifying Officer Philip Johnson that he has
successfully completed the twelve month probationary period and has been
appointed to regular employment status as Police Officer.
12. Memo dated April 23, 2001 from Roger Lubovich, City Attorney to Civil Service
Commission requesting commencement of a review of Civil Service rules and
regulations by the Civil Service Commission. '
Chair Zaratkiewicz noted that item #8 should reflect "her" in regards to Firefighter
Felicia Beluche. In addition, items#3-9 should be modified to reflect, "Memo
dated...to Catherine Guiguet from Chief Angelo that he/she successfully passed..."
Sue Viseth, E.S. Director, explained the proposal by Roger Lubovich for commencement
of the review by the Civil Service Commission of the Civil Service rules and regulations.
Chair Zaratkiewics moved to approve. Seconded and carried.
Chair Zaratkiewicz asked if there was any additional business to be discussed.
Chair Zaratkiewicz made a motion to adjourn. Seconded and carried. The meeting was
adjourned at 5:20 p.m.

The next regular Civil Service Meeting will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30,
2001.
