PROPOSED CHANGE Procure 13 ft, pipe lengths for placement STA 3+13.92 & STA 9+12. II. REASON AND BACKGROUND FOR CHANGE Existing 72" CMP carrier pipe has many deformaties. The annular space between a true 72" ID CMP pipe and true 66.5" OD Spirolite pipe can be no greater than 2.5" typical. Pipe investigation in the field shows actual space to be 1.5" or less in several locations. Shorter pipe length improves deflection and flexibility characteristics for slip lining. The change reduces long-lead procurement duration that would otherwise be necessary to perform a more thorough pipe cleaning and survey to ensure the stiffer, industry standard 20 foot pipe lengths can be pushed through. City agrees to pay material cost difference associated with increased production costs of shorter length pipe. Contractor agrees to waive further mark-up costs on difference. III.
