The work will be performed at City of Kent Police Jail located at 1230 Central Ave S, equipment and services requested are: • Removal of existing cameras and associated enclosure • Purchase cameras and enclosures • Install enclosures and Security Cameras • Install conduit and cabling The SOW includes replacement of all 11 of the existing roof mounted security cameras. We will replace the out of service cameras and some or all of the exiting operational cameras pending cost. We will indicate which cameras outside of the out of service cameras will be included in the work upon awarding a vendor. The detailed Statement of Work to be addressed in [CO NAME] proposal is attached. This is in accordance with City of Kent's competitive bidding process for Public Works contemplated projects above $20,000 yet below $65,000. While the associated costs for the proposal may be less than the upper threshold; we believe, similar projects have been within this range. Regardless the lowest cost responsible bidder will be selected to perform the work. Please note, this invitation is subject to Public Works bidding laws and the City may reject, modify, or otherwise alter this proposal process, or the City may elect to reject any and all proposals received and decide to not issue a contract as a result of this invitation. Site walkthroughs will be scheduled during the week of 8/28 prior to the required proposal submittal deadline of 9/8. The proposal shall be itemized by labor, equipment and ancillary costs for each SOW item to be considered complete. Announcement of the successful vendor will be on or before 9/15. With completion of installation no later than 10/31. Upon receipt of proposals you may be contacted for clarification prior to any award of contract. The successful vendor must be willing to agree and sign the attached City of Kent Bond Required Public Works Contract upon award and prior to engaging in any activities requiring payment. Don't hesitate to contact me via email with questions that I can share with all vendors invited to provide proposals upon request and(or) to schedule site walk throughs. Please respond upon receipt of this email and indicate if your company will be submitting a proposal.
