7. Amendment Purpose
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the grant period to December 31,2017.This extension is
necessary because mid-year 2016 the City of Kent and the Office of Public Defense entered into an
agreement to change the permissible activities supported by these funds.Consequently,additional time
is needed to carry out all planned activities and functions.
In addition,Grantee agrees to submit a written report to OPD by July 31,2017 which shall document the
amount of grant funds used to date,what the funds were used for,and(if applicable) how the City
anticipates using remaining grant funds by December 31,2017.
8. OPD and Grantee hereby agree to the changes described in sections 7 this Amendment,which
modifies section 6 of the Grant Agreement Face Sheet,and section 5 of the Grant Agreement Special
Terms and Conditions.All other terms and conditions remain in full force and effect.
