CONTRACTOR SERVICES AGREEMENT
between the City of Kent and
Mister G, c/o Coil Records, Inc.

THIS AGREEMENT is made between the City of Kent, a Washington municipal corporation (hereinafter the
"City"), and Mister G, c/o Coil Records, I'nc., located and doing business, at PO Box 275, Whately, MA 01093
(hereinafter the "Contractor"),
I. DESCRIPTION OF WORK.
Contractor shall perform the following services for the City:
Description: Mister G will present one performance as part of the Kent Arts Commission's Summer Concert Series.
Start Time/Duration/Stop Time: 12:00 noon/1 hour/l.-OO p.m..
Day, Date, Year: Wednesday, August 2, 2017
Event Location: "Wednesday Picnic Performances" at Town Square Plaza, 2 nd Avenue and Harrison Street, Kent, WA,
Merchandising: Contractor shall have the sole and exclusive right, but not obligation, to sell souvenir posters, programs,
CDs, DVDs, and other merchandise directly pertaining to and/or bearing the likeness of the Artist at the
performance. City will retain 10% of the receipts when Contractor provides sales staff and 15% of the
receipts when City provides sales staff.
Contractor further represents that the services furnished under this Agreement will be performed in accordance
with generally accepted professional practices in effect at the time those services are performed.
II. COMPENSATION, The City shall pay Contractor the total sum of$1,800 for the work to be performed
under this Agreement, by City of Kent check on the day of the performance.
III. PRESS MATERIALS. Contractor agrees to provide to the City where appropriate, at his or her own
expense, complete press materials, including hard copy or high resoIuflon electronic photographs, biographic
descriptions, and program materials, not less than six (6) weeks prior to the initial event date for the City's use in
promoting the event. All publicity and promotional materials regarding the event released to the media or public by the
Contractor shall credft the City of Kent for its support of the event or project.
IV. PERFORMANCE SPACE. The City agrees to furnish, at its sole cost and expense, a place of
performance on the date(s) and at the time(s) contained in Section l. The City shall also provide ushers, a house
manager, and box office staff and any additional services and personnel as required by the City, for the efficient operation
of the engagement. Other arrangements will be the responsibility of the City and Contractor as follows below:
Venue: City wiU provide covered outdoor stage.
Sound: City will provide; Contractor will provide technical requirements no later than 30 days prior to
performance date.
Lights: N/A
Dressing Rooms: None available.
Technical Staff: City will provide sound technician.
V. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR, The parties intend that an Independent Contractor-Employer
Relationship will be created by this Agreement. By their execution of this Agreement, and in accordance with Ch. 51,08
RCW, the parties make the following representations:
A. The Contractor has the ability to control and direct the performance and details of its work, the
City being interested only in the results obtained' under this Agreement.
B. The Contractor maintains and pays for its own place of business from which Contractor's services
under this Agreement will be performed.
C. The Contractor has an established and independent business that is eligible for a business
deduction for federal income tax purposes that existed before the City retained Contractor's
services, or the Contractor is engaged in an independently established trade, occupation,
profession, or business of the same nature as that involved under this Agreement,

4. MERCHANDISING:Artist will have the sole right to sell all merchandise bearing Artist's narne
and/or likeness.ALL, receipts derived from the sale of merchandise belong solely to Artist unless
otherwise expressly agreed upon in writing. Presenter will provide a well-lit, accessible table and
a salesperson to sell merchandise before show, during set break,and after shOW.D
5.WORKSHOPS and RESIDENCIES: Artist must approve Workshops and residencies before they
are publicly announced.Workshops and residencies must be scheduled at time of contract
negotiation or after Artist's travel has been confirmed.
6. GROUND TRANSPORTATION: If applicable, Presenter agrees to provide ground
transportation between venue, lodging and airport, ferry, or train.

8.FOOD &DRINK: Presenter shall supply an ample amount of bottled spring water.
For concerts before noon, Presenter shall provide a breakfast for two people including: *Y
fresh-squeezed orange or grapefruit juice; dark roast coffee; bagels (sesame or poppy) with
cream cheese and salmon; hot water for tea; fresh fruit salad; and a small carton of half and half.
For afternoon/evening concerts, Presenter shall provide a meal for two people including: chicken
salad/tuna salad; hummus; whole wheat pita bread; carrots; healthy chips (Stint hips); dark roast
coffee; and a small carton of half and half.
Please no processed meats or fast food.
9.ACCOMMODATIONS: If specified in contract, Pre effrer agrees to provide one (1)

10.TICKETS:'Presenter agrees to rnake available eight (8) complimentary tickets to the Artist's
invited guests. Presenter agrees to allot no more than eight (8) percent of total available seats as
complimentary tickets without express written permission. o
11.CONCERT EXPENSES: Unless previously negotiated in writing,all expenses incurred by the
venue/Presenter in production and promotion of this performance are the Presenter's
responsibility,
12.PUBLICITY,ADVERTISING AND AFFILIATIONS: Presenter Will use only Artist-provided or
approved photos and publicity materials. If a concert or stage is sponsored by a party other than
the contracting Presenter, arid/or function as a benefit event, Artist must approve the party or
beneficiary,
13. PARKING AND LOAD-IN: Presenter will provide a parking space for the Artist's vehicle

professional bass drum and pedal (Yarnaha, DW, Pearl),Artist will contact Presenter,in
advance if drum and pedal are needed.

3. BILLING

spelling). When headlining, artist shall receive 100% headline billing; in nori-headline
situations, artists will receive "special guest" billing.
