Amendment Purpose The purpose of this amendment Is to extend the grant period from December 31,2016 to March 1, 2017,This extension Is necessary because mid-year 2016 the City of Kent and the Office of Public Defense entered into an agreement to change the permissible activities supported by these funds. Consequently,additional time is needed to carry out all planned activities and functions. In addition, Grantee agrees to submit a written report to OPD by February 1,2017 which shall document the amount of grant funds used to date,what the funds were used For,and(if applicable) how the City anticipates using remaining grant funds by March 1, 2017, 8.
