The south leg of the intersection has two thru southbound lanes, two northbound to westbound left-turn lanes, two thru northbound lanes, and a single right-turn lane. Description of Proposed Work Description of Proposed Work(Attach additional sheet(s)if necessary) The City of Kent will install an additional southbound to eastbound left-turn lane on SR 515. This capacity improvement is expected to have positive effects on the efficiency and safety of the intersection and the surrounding area in three primary ways: (1)reduce queues, which leads to fewer driveways on SR 515 blocked by traffic; (2)less red-light running and other aggressive driving behavior, due to shorter delays; and(3)less overall risk exposure at this congested location, due to reduced travel times.
