I will send over Marc Ficca's contact information separately. To remove the existing coating on 2 manholes, remove existing steps as necessary on 2 manholes, reinstall new steps as necessary, perform chemical injection to stop ground water infiltration, all prep work, installation of the 500 mil. SpectraShield Liner System from the ring and cover through the channel on the 3 manholes that we looked at in the field (I apologize for not getting the asset#s when we were onsite to include with this quote). 10 year warranty, as well as bypassing through the channel, no traffic control, work to be performed in 1 mobilization and consecutive days. Realm would need approximately 5 consecutive work days to perform this work. Price excludes permits and hydrant fees. Realm would need access to a fire hydrant within 200 ft. of each location. Prevailing wages, intents and affidavits fees included. Cost for third party testing not included. I attached our SpectraShield specification. Whichever method(s) are used, they shall be performed in a manner that provides a uniform, sound clean neutralized surface suitable for the specified coating product(s). Contractor shall prevent and remove, where necessary, large debris from the structure so as to prevent sewer clogging. After completion of the surface preparation, review the following check list, which is the inspection for the following: • Leaks • Cracks • Holes • Exposed Rebar • Ring and Cover Condition • Invert Condition • Inlet and Outlet Pipe Condition After all defects in the structure are identified, all active leaks shall be completely sealed using a Hydrophobic and/or Hydrophilic Urethane Grout designed to stop infiltration of ground water by pressure injection as supplied by Avanti International Chemical Grouts. Repairs to exposed rebar, i defective pipe penetrations or inverts etc. shall be completed utilizing quick setting Hydraulic Cement as manufactured by Euclid Chemical. i I 7-06.3(4) Application Temperature of the surface to be coated should be maintained between 500 and 1200 degrees F. Specified surfaces should be shielded to avoid exposure of direct sunlight or other intense heat source. Where varying surface temperatures do exist, coating installation should be scheduled when the temperature is falling versus rising. late personal protection equipment shall be utilized but in every case when applying the Appropriate p p q liner, the sprayer and personnel in direct contact with the spray atmosphere, will always be protected by supplied air. Coat all interior surfaces with the approved coating system in strict accordance with the manufacture's recommendations. Coating shall be field applied. Coating system shall be continuous from the manhole invert and extend upward and onto the manhole ring. Exterior surfaces are not to be coated. For large diameter pipes the coating will be continuous and extend into the structure, and have a minimum coverage of 6" circumference around the pipe penetration. If any attachments are scheduled for installation or are existing in a structure, the fasteners shall be Installedfembedded into the concrete structure prior to the coating system application to ensure a uniform seal around the protruding fasteners. When installing new channels—the channel invert will need to be spring line minus Y". Final installation for the 3-coat system shall be a minimum of 500 mils (180 mils for large diameter pipe) . A permanent identification and date of work performed shall be affixed to the structure in a readily visible location within the structure. Application of the spray applied material must be completed in one (1) mobilization in order to minimize the disruption and cost of excessive bypassing, pipeline plugging, traffic control and all other support services. The structure should be allowed to cure for 24 hours and return to ambient temperature prior to any physical testing, including vacuum testing. The finished structure must be returned to full service immediately after the spray application is complete. The applicator shall provide a final written report to Engineer detailing the structure location, structure number or unique identifier (provided to the contractor by the Engineer), date or report, date of installation, and description of installation. li I 7-06.3(5) Testing Contractor shall notify the Engineer and/or Inspector upon completion of manhole surface preparation work. Engineer and/or Inspector may conduct visual inspections of surface preparation work and request additional preparation work be provided to properly allow adhesion of repair and coating products if necessary. 1. Perform a thickness measurement of the intermediate spray foam surfacer coat. (This is not applicable to large diameter pipe coatings) a. Using a pointed sliding scale probe/ penetrate into the intermediate surfacer foam and measure the thickness which shall be a minimum of% inch. Perform 3 tests at each large structure and 25% of manholes. This is a destructive test as it leaves a small hole through the surfacer therefore mark each measurement location with a felt tip pen so that when the corrosion barrier coat is applied the applicator can be sure to apply a double coat for added protection. If a black felt tipped pen is used there should be no visible mark showing through after application of the final coat. To verify that all surfaces are coated sufficiently and no holidays or pinholes exist through to the substrate perform a high voltage test in accordance with ASTM D4787 (Standard Practice for Continuity Verification of Liquid or Sheet Lining Applied to Concrete Substrates). b. This test shall be performed after the application of the intermediate thick surfacer coat and before the final corrosion protection coat. Perform 3 tests at each large structure and 25%of manholes. c. This test shall not be performed until at least 30 minutes have elapsed after application of the surfacer coat so as to develop sufficient physical properties in the coating to withstand the high voltage arc. d. The high voltage setting shall be sufficient to arc through a distance of one-half inch (Y2") to ground. e. Circle all indications with a felt tip pen, preferably black. f. A double application of the final corrosion protection coat will be made so as to completely cover the indicted holiday and no visible black mark showing through the final coat. Quality Control Personal will conduct the coating testing and will be trained in the use of testing or inspection instrumentation and knowledgeable of the proper use, preparation and installation of the coating product(s)to be used as specified herein i Visual inspection may be made by the Engineer and/or Inspector. 7-06.4 Measurement Structure rehabilitation will be measured per each. 7-06.5 Payment Payment will be made in accordance with the General Conditions, for each of the following bid items that are included in the Proposal. "Structure Rehabilitation", per lump sum. " including providing structure internal All costs associated with Structure Rehabilitation , includ g p g surface preparation and furnishing and installing structural liner system components for structure and maintaining sewer flow bypass as required during rehabilitation work activities, shall be included in the unit contract price for "Structure Rehabilitation", per lump sum. END OF SECTION 7-06 END OF DIVISION 7 j i Sewer manhole replacements at ST 33+0 and 38+50 will be deleted from the contractor and replaced with manhole relining. The product will be Spectra shield, a three coat process. There will be an outside special inspector during the coating process. The work will consist of sealing all leaks, replacing steps as necessary, prepping the structure for coating, and the coating process. All work is covered by a 10 year warranty. The anticipated cost savings will be in the area of$20,000. With a large variable being the force account to attempt to get an O.D. on the existing run south from SSMH FF79.
