The city of Kent thanks Starbucks for Its

events by providing hot chocolate and coffee for

our annual spring events, Earth Day and Arbor
Day.
We had record numbers for both events: 104
volunteers for Earth Day at Clark Lake Park and
123 for Arbor Day at West Formica Park. Large groups like Boeing (part of the group
j agove),boy and girl scout troops and members of the LDS church were able to get

literally tons of invasive blackberries out of the parks.At
j Arbor Day we strategically replanted 80 native trees and e.
shrubs, then mulched and watered them in. =s
