Re: Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust Contribution Participation
This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is by and between the City of Kent ("City") and
Teamsters Local Union No 117 ("Union") collectively referred to as the Parties, regarding the
2013 Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust (WCTPT) participation
As a result of bargaining that took place on August 13, 2012, the parties agree to the
following provisions regarding WCTPT participation for employees covered by the Collective
bargaining agreement dated January 1, 2012 — December 31, 2013 between the City and the
Union
THEREFORE the Parties agree as follows
1 The Union will conduct a vote to determine if the membership wants to reallocate an
additional twenty five cents ($0 25) per hour of their hourly wages into the WCTPT
above and beyond the thirteen cents ($0 13) per hour of their hourly wages that is
currently being reallocated to WCTPT, for a total employee reallocation of thirty-eight
cents ($0 38) per hour of the employees' hourly wages The City's contribution will
remain unchanged at twelve cents ($0 12) per hour The covered hours will remain
unchanged and as stated in the current contract.
2. Upon ratification of the membership, effective January 1, 2013, the parties agree to
modify Article 17 B to read the following
ARTICLE 17 - PENSION
B Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust (WCTPT). Effective
January 1, 2013, the City shall pay the amount stated below to the Western
Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust Fund on account of each of its full-
time, regular part-time, and 10 month employees who perform the work listed
under Appendix "B" and "C" of this Agreement for every hour for which
compensation is paid, said amounts to be computed monthly, provided that the
annual contribution shall be limited to 2160 hours

The City agrees to contribute twelve cents ($0 12) per hour and the employee
agrees to reallocate thirty eight cents ($0 38) per hour of their hourly wages for
a total contribution of fifty cents ($0 50) per hour.
For the purposes of this Article, covered hours shall include the following
compensable hours sick leave, vacation, compensatory time off, holidays
(including personal holidays) and bereavement leave shall all be considered
compensable time worked.
3. To the extent that this MOU conflicts with any of the terms of the current CBA between
the City and the Union, this MOU shall control This agreement shall not be
interpreted to create a past practice nor shall it be interpreted as creating a pattern of
action on the part of the City
4 By signature below, all parties agree that the above represents the parties' full and
entire agreement with regard to reallocations to the WCTPT for bargaining unit
members
