This was due in part to software/database compatibility issues expressed by IT. This delay was necessary to ensure that equipment and systems purchased for OEM and for the Emergency Coordination Center were compatible with existing and projected technology. This extension request will allow additional time to complete the desired projects. Additionally, we have several training opportunities that have been offered city staff and they were also delayed due to internal staffing issues and work demands. This extension will allow those trainings to occur and to be charged to this grant as opposed to delaying them to the next grant cycle. The time extension is allowable under the grant provisions. Grant parameters and conditions do not change as confirmed in box 11 of the amendment document. Request: We respectfully request that the Mayor sign the attached document for the WA EMD Amendment to extend the contract expiration date from June 30, 2012 to August 31, 2012. o REQUEST FOR MAYOR'S SIGNATURE KENT Please Fill In All Applicable Boxes WnYFIN4iUN Routing Information (ALL REQUESTS MUST FIRST BE ROUTED THROUGH THE LAW DEPARTMENT) Originator: Dominic Marzano Phone (Originator): 4316 Date Sent: 06-04-12 Date Required: ASAP Return Signed Document to: Dominic CONTRACT TERMINATION DATE: 08-31-12 Marzano VENDOR NAME: Kmg County DATE OF COUNCIL APPROVAL: October, 2010 Emergency Management Performance Grant — Extension of Time Only Brief Explanation of Document: Extension of time is required due to delays with city internal processes for approval of equipment purchases.
