By and Between City of Kent and
Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME,Local#2617
The parties agree that the City has voluntarily recognized the Union as the exclusive
bargaining representative in accordance with Article 1 of the current Collective Bargaining
Agreement for the support staff in the Prosecution division of the City attorney's office(currently
three Legal Secretary I positions and one Office Technician II position) This recognition
specifically excludes the Domestic Violence Advocate positions, Civil Legal Secretary position, and
any other further positions in the Civil division This recognized positions shall, upon signing, be
incorporated into the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement
AFSCME acknowledges receipt of the City Attorney's correspondence dated December 19,
1997, regarding this matter
