S-1-- l eAAA I if, -Pa-vr K-S /6 l�f Description: ❑ Interlocal Agreement ❑ Change Order ❑ Amendment ❑ Contract ❑ Other: Contract Effective Date: 3 f ZZ/1 Termination Date: Contract Renewal Notice (Days): Number of days required notice for termination or renewal or amendment Contract Manager: Department: Detail: (i.e. address, location, parcel number, tax id, etc.): S Public\RecordsManagement\Forms\ContractCover\adcc7832 1 11/08 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING By and Between the CITY OF KENT And TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 117 Affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Re: Alternative Work Schedule — Parks/Golf The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to memorialize an agreement between the City of Kent ("City") and Teamsters Local Union No 117 ("Union") The parties have met and discussed the City's concern regarding the increasing cost of overtime for maintenance of the Riverbend Golf Complex To address this matter the parties have agreed to implement a new alternative work schedule in accordance with Section 5 2, Alternative Work Schedules, of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Upon signing of this agreement, bargaining unit members of the Golf Complex may be assigned to work an alternate work schedule consisting of four consecutive nine-hour days (scheduled between Monday — Friday) followed by one four-hour day on the weekend (4/9s +4 Schedule) Employees working the 4/9s +4 schedule shall receive shift differential in accordance with Section 5 10, Shift Differential, of the CBA for all hours regularly scheduled on the weekends The parties further agree that this alternative work schedule is not intended to expand the hours of temporary bargaining unit employees The current ratio of regular full time hours to temporary hours is 60/40 and is intended to remain relatively consistent, except that unforeseen circumstances, i e employee absence, etc, may result in an increase in temporary hours Any dispute as to the implementation of this MOU shall be handled in accordance with the parties' CBA grievance and arbitration procedure By signature below, the parties agree that the above represents the parties' full and entire agreement with regard to this matter CITY OF KENT TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 1 7, IBT M UE VISETH TRACEY A HOMPSON Employee Services Director Secretary-Treasurer .3- aa- 1/ 3-1b - ►i Date Date JEF WATLING s, Recreation & Community Services Director 312.2f Date
