Effective Friday, March 4, 2011, the City has a Custodian vacancy in the Facilities Division of the Parks Department. The Union and the City agree to extend the period of time that the department may utilize the non-ranked eligibility list that was established for the position of Custodian on March 5, 2010. Per section 3.7 of the AFSCME contract, the list may remain in effect for six months. AFSCME and the City agree to allow the list to be good for 12 months, expiring March 5, 2011, for this specific recruitment process. Due to this agreement, this specific position of Custodian will not be open to a competitive process unless the remaining individual(s) on the list are no longer interested in the position or are unable to fill the vacancy. This Agreement shall not be interpreted to create a past practice nor shall it set ' . precedence for either party.
