The parties agree to the following: The following agreement is intended to be on a onetime non-precedent setting basis. Due to budget reductions resulting in layoffs affected AFSCME members last day of employment is Monday, May 31', 2010 which is Memorial Day (an observed holiday). The current bargaining agreement section 17.2.A.1 Holiday Leave Bank Eligibility states: "An employee on leave without pay for any portion of the scheduled work day preceding or following the holiday is not eligible for holiday pay." Because employees slated for layoff, through no fault of their own, will not be able to work the day following the holiday (June 15', 2010) the union and the city agree that the affected employees shall receive holiday pay for Memorial Day. Signed this day of May 2010. Ethan Fineout, Staff Representative Ray Luevanos, Labor Relations Manager Kathleen Etheredge, Local #2617 President L4fiuck Miller, Human Resources Analyst
