MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF KENT (CITY)
AND
WASHINGTON STATE COUNCIL OF COUNTY AND CITY EMPLOYEES,
AFSCME, AFL-CIO, LOCAL #2617 (UNION)
This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) represents the parties' agreement to extend the
contractual limitations of the use of temporary employees in the Customer Service Division of
the Finance Department. The parties recognize that due to protected leaves of absences there
has been an impact on the staffing levels in the Customer Service Division. As a result of
limited staffing, the parties have agreed to the following:
• Kim Metcalf's employment will resume, no sooner, than June 13, 2007. Her
temporary assignment will end effective immediately upon the return of the
Accounting Technician's leave of absence.
The above represents the parties'full agreement with regard to this, and shall not be
precedence setting for future similar or dissimilar situations.
• By signature below, all parties agree with the provisions of this agreement.
