. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
By And Between
THE CITY OF KENT
And
WASHINGTON STATE COUNCIL OF COUNTY AND CITY EMPLOYEES,
AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Local #2617
This Memorandum of Understanding (hereafter referred to as the "Agreement")
memorializes the agreement between the City of Kent ("City"), Corrections Officer ("C/O")
Travis Reed and Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME Local
#2617 ("Union"). The parties agree to the following with regard to providing Corrections
Officer Travis Reed the opportunity to perform assigned work on non-purchased holidays:
1. The Police Department will provide C/O Reed with the opportunity to work on six (6)
non-purchased holidays between the signing of this agreement and his transfer from
Programs and return to the Corrections Facility.
2. The parties further agree that if there are not six (6) non-purchased holidays
available for C/O Reed to work, he can make up the difference by working his days
off, on the condition that working on his days off is mutually agreed upon between
C/O Reed and his supervisor or Corrections Lieutenant Lutz.
3. With the signing of this Agreement all parties agree that the grievance filed on behalf
of C/O Reed, and all issues related thereto are fully resolved and settled.
. 4. This Agreement shall not be interpreted to create a past practice nor shall it set
precedence for either party.
By signature below, the parties agree that the above represents the parties' full and entire
Agreement.
