Viseth Department: ES Detail: (i.e. address, location, parcel number, tax id, etc.): S Pubhc\RecordsManagement\Forms\ContractCover\adcc7832 1 11/08 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING By and Between The City of Kent ("City") And Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME Local 2617 ("Union") The purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to amend the salary of the Code Enforcement Officer classification allocated in "Appendix A — Schedule A" of the 2004-2005 collective bargaining agreement between the City of Kent and AFSCME Local 2617. While both parties agree that the negotiation of wages is a mandatory subject of bargaining most appropriately addressed during the negotiation of a new contract, the parties have met and agree to make an exception in the adjustment of this position's wages on a non-precedent setting basis. The Union understands that any future requests for salary review will be addressed during future labor negotiations • Both parties agree to adjust the Code Enforcement Officer's salary from a range AF33 to range AF34 effective January 1, 2004.
