Vlseth Department: ES Detail: (i.e. address, location, parcel number, tax id, etc.): S•Public\RecordsManagement\Forms\ContractCover\adcc7832 1 11/08 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BY AND BETWEEN HE CITY OF KENT CITY T C (CITY) AND WASHINGTON STATE COUNCIL OF COUNTY AND CITY EMPLOYEES, AFSCME,AFL-CIO,LOCAL#2617(UNION) This Memorandum of Understanding(MOU)represents the parties agreement on the job share arrangement for Tracy Staggers in the Permit Center as provided for in Article 34,Job Share The parties recognize the uniqueness of this lob share situation and agree that this MOU shall not be precedence setting The parties have agreed to the following • The City shall recruit for a job share partner for Tracy Staggers in accordance with Article 3, Section 3 7,Position Vacancies The Job share shall progress in three phases The first being the training phase where the combined hours of the job share partners may exceed 40 hours per week The second phase will commence when Tracy begins her maternity leave and the job share partner may be asked to work up to 40 hours per week The final phase will commence upon Tracy's return to work at which time the Job share partners shall divide,as previously agreed,a 40 hour work week between them • The Parties agree that upon hire of a job share partner Tracy's employment status will be changed • to regular part-time at 30 hours per week with the City scheduling her to work 40 hours per week until such time as she completes the training phase of the job share and commences maternity leave The additional 10 hours per week shall be paid at straight time in accordance with Article 5,Section 5 1 "B"—Overtime • The parties agree that this Job share will not have a negative effect on the existing alternative work schedules of the work group • The parties further agree to accommodate Tracy's request to continue her alternative work schedule,9/80's,during this training period, in accordance with Article 5,Section 5 1 "C". • The Job share partner shall be hired within the AF23 range as defined by the previous MOU on this matter By signature below, all parties agree with the provisions of this agreement. �Axri�s��4005 9 Signed this�(=day ofJ�� u For the Union For the City Rob M Sprague,Staff Representative Sue Viseth,Employee Services erector Kathleen Senecaut,Local#2617 President Came Eckhart,Labor Relations Analyst •
