SUBJECT: Settlement agreement—Kent Commons Floor Refinishing Complaint
• The parties have met and discussed the Union's request for overtime pay to compensate
missed opportunities for Union members to work on the Kent Commons floor refinishing
project the week of June 4-7, 2001. The parties have agreed to the following.
• The City agrees to pay a total of 15 hours at the 2002 overtime rate to the following
affected Union members:
Sheldon Page 537-78-5117 3 hours
Lori Millbauer 532-66-8709 1 hour
Aileen McCaughn 538-80-0351 2 hours
Marvin Bartlemay 541-42-1143 3 hours
Randy Adams 531-68-7560 3 hours
Sharon Andreas 499-52-6829 3 hours
• In addition,the City also agrees to compensate Sheldon Page an additional 3 hours of
overtime (2002 rates) for voluntarily withdrawing his name from the list of overtime
employees on 6/6/01;
• The City also agrees to pay Sharon Andreas an additional 1 hour of call back pay for
6/6;
• • The City agrees to work with management to ensure that this situation does not occur
in the future by clarifying what overtime hours are available and whether they are
mandatory or not; and
• The Union agrees to work with their membership to keep their commitment to work
the overtime hours they sign up for.
This memorandum is intended to settle a dispute and is non-precedent setting.
