RE Letter of Understanding - Extension of Probation
Dear Rob-
This letter follows our discussion at the January 27, 1998 labor management meeting regarding
the extension of Elizabeth "Beth" Moschel's probation
As expressed during the meeting, Ms Moschel has not met the performance standards as
identified by the Multi-Media Manager The Multi-Media Manager has requested that AFSCME
grant an extension of Ms Moschel's probation period for up to an additional six months
The parties have met, discussed this issue, and mutually agree as follows
• 1. Elizabeth Moschel's probation will be extended for an additional six months, or through
August 12, 1998
2 Elizabeth Moschel's employment with the City of Kent is subject to termination at any point
during this extended probation for failure to meet the performance standards as outlined in
the February mapping session
3 Elizabeth Moschel's step increase, for satisfactory completion of her probationary period
shall be held for the duration of this extended six month probation
This letter of understanding is intended to clarify the parties agreement regarding the extension
of Ms Moschel's probation
