MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

The City of Kent
and
AFSCME Local #2617
The parties have met and discussed the potential shift trade
between Kathy Kolke and Robin Gaither for the bid effective
January 1997 . In the Collective Bargaining Agreement covering
the above-referenced Records Specialist, there is a provision for
shifts to be set by a bid process. Additionally, there is a
provision (Section 5.2) allowing the parties to mutually agree to
modifications. Based on this, the parties agree that without
setting precedent, the above-referenced employees will be allowed
to switch shifts for
the bid effective January 1997.
