Viseth Department: ES Detail: (i.e. address, location, parcel number, tax id, etc.): S•Public\RecordsManagement\Forms\contractcover\adcc7832 J 11/08 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF KENT AND AFSCME LOCAL 21-K This memorandum of understanding is intended to clarify the language in Article 14, Section 14.3, LonQevqy in the 1995-97 labor contract. The City and Union have met to discuss this issue and have agreed to use this Memorandum of Understanding to clarify the intent of the language in the contract. The parties agree on the following: ■ The following longevity pay shall apply: After 5 consecutive years of service 1% of base pay After 10 consecutive years of service 2%of base pay After 15 consecutive years of service 3%of base pay After 20 consecutive years of service 4% of base pay ■ The City agrees to abide by the Addendum to the 1993-1994 labor agreement,dated April 27, 1994,which states "except that members with 5 years of service will receive $25 or 1% of base salary, whichever is greater " This redcirclmg will apply to the following members only. Ruby Phillips, Mike Miller,Ann Erickson, Sharon Andreas, Susan Whitehouse, Michelle Hale, and Diana Praast. This agreement is intended to represent the parties understanding and agreement on longevity pay.
