Extension of Letter of Commitment
Dear John:
This Extension of Letter of Commitment ("Extension") is sent to extend the term of the Letter of
Commitment dated April, 2006 ("Letter") between Thunderbird Hockey Enterprises, LLC, a Washington
limited liability company and the owner of the Seattle Thunderbirds ("Thunderbirds') and the City of
Kent ("Kent") regarding the construction of an Event Center (as defined in the Letter subsection 1 1) m
downtown Kent and the long-term lease of a portion of the time and space of the Event Center to the
Thunderbirds("Lease') colzcm 34 C
1 Extension of Negotiation Period. By this Extension, the Negotiation Period (as defined in the
Letter, subsection 2 2) is extended until Accordingly, all timelines described in
subsection 2 3 of the Letter dre extended for a reasonable amount of time for Kent to assign an employee
pursuant to subsection 2 3 1 and retain a consultant pursuant to subsection 2 3 3, if Kent has not already
done so Further, the deadline for a Report pursuant to subsection 2 3 4 shall be due on or before August
15.2006
2 Confidentiality Provision No Longer Applicable The parties acknowledge and agree that the
confidentiality requirement pursuant to Section 5 of the Letter is no longer applicable as the deal between
the parties has already been made public
3 All Other Terms Unchanged Except as provided above in Section 1, all other terms of the
Letter remain unchanged,including,but not limited to,the exclusivity of the negotiation period described
in subsection 2 1 of the Letter
