Thank you for meeting with Dave Everett and me at the Hawley
Road property on December 29, 2004.
As we saw that day, the roof of the garage that you lease from the
City for car storage has collapsed and the property inside has been
vandalized to the point of no value. The City has decided that given the
extent of the damage, the City will not repair the garage.
Our understanding from our meeting that day is that you have
decided not to exercise your right under the purchase and sale agreement
to salvage the garage and remove it to another location, and that instead
you will provide the City of Kent with the titles to the cars that remain on
the property. This decision formally terminates the lease agreement.
The City will cooperate with your efforts to remove the cars from the
garage and will then dispose of the garage and any items remaining.
Given the state of the garage, please provide the car titles as soon as
possible. Again, the City will cooperate in your efforts to have this done in
a timely manner.
