This agreement is entered into between City of Kent (hereinafter "City")
and Kent School District (hereinafter "District") .
Whereas, the District has requested funding for a Salmon Enhancement
Program for the purchase of tanks and related equipment; and
Whereas, the City has a Salmon Enhancement and Habitat Improvement
Project fund by which school children will place Coho and Salmon eggs in City
streams;
For mutual considerations the parties hereby agree as follows:
1. The City will provide the District, specifically, Scenic Hill
Elementary, Pine Tree Elementary, East Hill Elementary and Kent
Elementary $3,750 for the purchase of four (4) aquariums and related
equipment.
2. Kent School District shall use such aquariums for the hatching of
Salmon eggs and establish a program for the releasing of any
resulting fry, to the maximum extent possible, into streams that are
within the City of Kent boundaries.
3. Should the District discontinue the program, the equipment shall be
returned to the City.
