KENT CITY ART PROGRAM AGREEMENT
The Agreement dated March 3, 2000, between the City of Kent, hereinafter referred to as
"Owner' and Ruth Tomlinson, hereinafter referred to as "Artist".
WHEREAS: The Owner desires to enter into a contract with the Artist to develop a visual
presentation of the proposed artwork for the following project:
Clark Lake Park - master plan
Clark Lake Park—current phase artwork
The Work under this Agreement is to create, design, develop, complete and present to the
Owner on or before April 17, 2000 following:
A minimum of three drawings, a detailed budget, and a timeline of the proposed artwork.
TITLE OF WORK: Clark Lake Park Integrated Art Work
By signing this Agreement, the Owner does not bind itself to complete the above referenced
project. However, if the above described design is selected by the Arts Selection Panel, the
Artist hereby agrees to enter into contract negotiations for the commissioning of the artwork,
including design, fabrication, transportation, installation, documentation, public notice and
payment of all Washington sales or use taxes in a timely manner.
In consideration of the services recited herein by the Owner, the Artist shall receive payment in
the amount of Fifteen hundred dollars and no/cents ($1,500.00) from the Owner within 30
calendar days of receipt and approval of invoice from Artist by the Owner.
The Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between the parties and may be amended only
if in writing and signed by both parties.
