SPECIAL MEETING
KENT CITY COUNCIL
September 9 , 1985
This special meeting of the Kent City Council was called to order at
7: 00 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Jon Johnson in the absence of Mayor Hogan.
All Councilmembers were present with the exception of Kelleher.
Proper legal notice having been given, a public hearing has been
scheduled for this date to consider the application of Elder Equip-
ment Corporation for issuance of an industrial revenue bond in the
amount of $1, 300, 000. This application was considered and approved
by the City of Kent Economic Development Corporation at a special
meeting held at 6 : 45 p.m. this date.
Bond Counsel has prepared Resolution 1069 , approving the issuance of
such bond by the Economic Development Corporation in the amount of
$1 , 300, 000 and approving Resolution 1985-29 of the Corporation,
authorizing the sale of the bond to provide funds to finance cer-
tain industrial development facilities for Elder Equipment Corpora-
tion, and approving execution and delivery of the bond by the
Chairman and Secretary of the Board.
Mayor Pro Tem Johnson opened the public hearing. There were no
comments and LEAHY MOVED to close the hearing. Woods seconded
and the motion carried.
BAILEY MOVED to adopt Resolution 1069 approving the bond for Elder
Equipment Corporation in the amount of $1 , 300 , 000. Woods seconded
and the motion carried.
At 7 : 10 p.m. WOODS MOVED and Bailey seconded to adjourn the
special meeting. Motion carried.
