June 30 , 1980
A SPECIAL MEETING of the Kent City Council was called to
order by Council President Len McCaughan at 7: 00 o' clock p.m.
It was determined that proper notice for the meeting had been
given and that the purpose of the meeting was to permit an
executive session for the Council to consider filling the
vacancy caused by Carey' s recent resignation.
Present: Councilpersons Bailey, B. Johnson, J. Johnson,
Plasters , McCaughan and Mooney.
Upon Mooney' s motion, seconded by J. Johnson, the Council
adjourned to an executive session to meet with those citizens
who had expressed an interest in filling the vacancy on the
City Council.
The meeting reconvened at 9 : 50 and MASTERS MOVED to adjourn.
B. Johnson seconded and the motion carried.
