HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Meeting - Council - Minutes - 05/14/1979 Kent, Washington May 14 , 1979 A special meeting of the Kent City Council was called to order by Mayor Hogan at 6: 00 p.m. All councilpersons were in attend- ance. The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting was to conduct interviews with candidates for the vacant City Coun- cil post. The meeting was adjourned to an executive session. The meeting was reconvened at 8: 00 P.M. McCAUGHAN MOVED to nominate Iry Hamilton and J. Johnson seconded. JUST MOVED to nominate Bill Elliott and Masters seconded. CAREY MOVED to close nominations, McCaughan seconded. Motion carried. Upon the talley of the written ballots, the clerk reported two votes for Hamilton and four votes for Elliott. Mayor Hogan announced that Elliott would be sworn in at the next regular meeting, May 21. B. JOHNSON MOVED to adjourn the meeting at 8 :10 p.m. , Just seconded. Motion carried.
